    Overall, the total cost to become an Oklahoma real estate agent can range from $660 to $1,400, depending on the education provider chosen and whether or not the applicant chooses to join a real estate association. The breakdown is like this: Before applying for a license, the individual must complete a state accredited pre-licensing education course, which usually costs between $100 and $450 depending on the education provider. All applicants must submit a $35.00 fee to apply for a real estate license directly payable to Oklahoma Real Estate Commission at the time of application submission. All applicants must also have a background check processed through IdentoGO which includes a $60.00 processing fee directly payable to IdentoGO. Exam fees are payable directly to PSI and are due before scheduling. Exam fees are due for each examination attempt.   • I passed a 90-hour course a couple of years ago and am just now ready to pursue my license. Do I need to retake the education?

    Your education is good for three years after completion. However, it is recommended candidates take the state exam as soon after completing pre-education as possible for optimal results.

  • How do I complete a background check to send to OREC?

    The background check must be scheduled online at IdentoGO. They work with vendors all over the state so finding an office near you shouldn't be a problem. Once the in-person live-scan is completed, your fingerprints will be processed by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the results will automatically be reported to OREC. The process usually takes 2-3 business days to complete and has a $60 fee to be paid directly to IdentoGO.

  • How long do I have to pass my real estate exam once my application with OREC is approved?

    Once your application has been approved, you will have one year to pass your exam. If you have not passed the exam in one year, you will need to submit a new application.
